Arch Development: Rapid Palatal Expanders
The Rapid Palatal Expanders are both all metal and/or acrylic designs to gain maxillary arch development. The typical range of development is a 12mm expansion screw. To improve anterior and posterior tooth position auxiliary extension arms can be added as well as buccal attachments for tooth alignment.
Bondable
Acrylic onlays or pads are placed over the posterior teeth and then bonded in place.
RPE
This fixed design provides up to 12mm of expansion in a short period of time.
Snap-Fit™
The .036 contoured buccal-lingual wire eliminates path of insertion problems. Composite is used to lock in the appliance.
Haas
This fixed design is both tissue and tooth borne to provide orthopedic and orthodontic changes.
